GLP-1 Weight LossPlanned AroundYour Whole Health
Maybe you have done everything you were told and the scale has barely moved, or it moved and then came straight back. Weight is tied up with your metabolism, your sleep, your hormones and your history, so it deserves a proper medical look.
GLP-1 medication can be part of the plan we build together, when it is right for you. It is only prescribed after an assessment and lab work, and your dose and follow-up are adjusted to how your body responds.

The Reasons People Come In
These are what patients arrive describing. Naming them is where a first visit starts, and none of them is on its own a diagnosis.
- Weight that will not shift
- Weight that comes back after every diet
- Weight gained around menopause
- Hunger and cravings that never let up
- A blood sugar result that worried you
- Low energy through the day
- Broken sleep
- Joints that make exercise hard
- Questions about GLP-1 medication
- Not feeling like yourself
Why I Look at the Whole Picture
Hi, I am Shannon. Most people who find a page like this one have been handed a diet sheet more than once, and plenty of them have come away feeling that their weight was simply their own fault.
I do not start with the number on the scale. Your metabolism reaches into your heart, your liver, your gut and your sleep, so the first appointment is a proper look at your history, your lifestyle, what you have already tried and what your labs say. The plan comes out of that conversation, and it is built for you rather than taken off a shelf.
When GLP-1 medication is appropriate, it is one part of that plan. Your dose and your follow-up schedule are set around how your body responds and how you are doing, and we keep adjusting them together. The goals we agree on are realistic ones, and they are about your long-term health as much as your weight.
I am licensed in Missouri, which means I can see you from anywhere in the state. Your first appointment can be a video visit, so you do not have to drive somewhere to find out whether this is right for you, and it can be here in the office instead if you would rather sit down with me.
Carpe diem.

How Getting Started Works
Three steps, and the first one takes about a minute.
- 01
Send Your Details
Tell me what is going on, in as much or as little detail as you like. We read every one of these ourselves, and we reply by text or email to arrange a time.
- 02
Meet by Video or in the Office
Your first appointment can be a video visit from wherever you are in Missouri, or in person at the office if you would rather be seen face to face. We go through your history, your weight over the years and what you have already tried.
- 03
Build the Plan Together
If GLP-1 medication is right for you, it is prescribed as part of a plan you have agreed to, with follow-up visits to adjust your dose as you go.
Your First Appointment Does Not Need a Drive
Dr. Sitzmann, DNP, is licensed in Missouri and sees patients by video anywhere in the state, from Kansas City to the Bootheel. If you would rather be seen face to face, in-person appointments are available in the St. Charles County area, and that includes your first one.
The clinic is new, which is worth saying plainly: appointments are easier to get right now than they are going to be later.
Video or in the Office
Your first visit can be on video from anywhere in the state, or in person if you would rather come in.
Private and HIPAA Compliant
Your details go to the clinic and nowhere else.
Labs Before Any Prescription
Your results are read alongside what you describe, and nothing is prescribed until both have been looked at.

Frequently Asked Questions
The ones people ask on the phone before they book. If yours is not here, call and ask it.
Call (636) 323-3856What is GLP-1 medication?
GLP-1 medications are a class of prescription medicine that was first developed to help regulate blood sugar and is now also prescribed to support weight management in appropriate patients. Whether one suits you is decided at a consultation, after a health assessment and lab work.
Is GLP-1 medication right for everyone?
No. It is a prescription medication, and it is only prescribed where it is appropriate for you, based on your health history, the medications you already take and your labs. If it is not the right fit, the first appointment is where you find that out, along with what else might help.
Do I need to live near the clinic?
No. Dr. Sitzmann, DNP, is licensed in Missouri and sees patients by video anywhere in the state, so a first appointment does not need a drive. If you would rather be seen face to face, in-person appointments are available in the St. Charles County area, and that includes your first one.
What happens at the first appointment?
It is a conversation rather than a form-filling exercise. Expect questions about your history, your weight over the years, what you have already tried and any medications you take. Nothing is prescribed before that conversation has happened.
Will my dose stay the same?
It is adjusted as you go. Your medication, your dose and how often we check in are set around how your body responds and how you are doing, which is why follow-up is part of the plan from the start.
Do you work with men as well as women?
Yes. Dr. Sitzmann, DNP, works with men and women, and every plan is built around the person in front of her.
How will you contact me to book?
By text or email, using the details you send with the form. Booking that way takes a minute or two rather than a phone call. Questions about your own symptoms and history are worth more time than a scheduling message allows, and that is what the first appointment is for. If you would rather speak to somebody first, the number on this page is answered.
How soon can I be seen?
Send the form and we will come back to you with the earliest times available, or call if you would rather. The clinic is new, which means appointments are easier to get now than they will be later.
Ask Me Whether This Is Right for You
Send your details or pick up the phone. Either way, you get a proper conversation about your whole health with the person who will be looking after you.
